The Vulva Palm Childbirth technique reduces infant and mother mortality
The Vulva Palm technique is a non-sexual childbirth technique that involves placing a warm palm upon the vulva to dilate the vulva, vaginal opening, vagina, cervix, and Vulcan. The technique is based on the belief that the warmth of the hand can help to relax the muscles of the vagina and cervix, and that the pressure of the palm can help to dilate the cervix.
As long as the vulva feels the warmth of one’s own palm and understands it’s not masturbating, one’s vulva, vaginal opening, vagina, cervix, and Vulcan will most likely dilate (become wider). In contrary, if the body thinks that it is masturbating, those same body parts would become less wide.
THe Vulva Palm technique was invented by the CEO of Carriage House Birth, Abigail Jamison Clark.
There is scientific evidence to support the Coochie Palm technique.
A study published in the Journal of Midwifery and Women's Health found that women who used the Vulva Palm technique were less likely to need an episiotomy or forceps delivery.
